Five ways to make the most of your Summer!

Summer is officially here, and we are loving the longer days, warm weather and the chance to wear our favourite summer outfits! Summer is such a great season, that comes and goes in a heartbeat, so we want you to make the most of these great vibes, while it lasts!

    Continue to develop yourself

Even though the weather is warm and you may be tempted to spend your days sunbathing-think about  the multiple ways that you can improve and develop yourself.  Have a look and see if there are any empowering events such as our Summer Business School this August, which will help you brush up on your personal and professional skills before the autumn work grind begins! This gives you enough time to think about your next steps and to map out how you can nail the next promotion round at work. Take advantage of your time off, and up-skill yourself. Your future self will thank you for it!

    Explore

This does not mean that you need to book a luxurious summer holiday abroad. Summer is a great opportunity for you to become a tourist in your own city. There is always somewhere to go and something new to see (often for free)  Try going to a new pop up store in town, or visit your nearest museum. Check out Time Out to find out what is happening in your City.

    Outdoor activities

From festivals, sporting events and open air cinemas, there are so many events and activities to keep you occupied this summer. These type of events are always a good way for you to create memories, catch up with a group of old friends, or even a way to make new friends! Check out Ticketmaster to find out what is on this summer.

    Quality time

Spend time with friends and family. Summer is usually the time when loved ones celebrate reunions, graduations, weddings and also family cook-outs/BBQ’s. Don’t wait until the Christmas period to spend time with them, do it now.

    Get moving

Walk more. Instead of taking a drive or hopping on the bus, make the decision to walk to your destination.  As well as keeping yourself fit, it is always a way for you to get lots of fresh air, bask in the sun and also take in all the sights you’d usually miss driving by. You never know, you could find a new hang out spot in the process!
