We are embarking on an exciting period of significant growth in 2023 as we officially launch The Hill app in the UK and internationally (United States, Germany and Africa) with a focus on empowering more women to access employment opportunities and to support more corporate partners to build their future workforce.

We are excited to be offering a three month internship with The Hill app and Girls Talk for an incredible person to manage our Social Media channels and strategy!

Role Purpose: To create and post daily social media content across the Girls Talk and The Hill app social media channels to empower and inspire women from around the world in relation to careers and confidence. In addition, leading on social media posts for international awareness days such as International Women’s Day, World Mental Health Day etc.

The successful applicant will have knowledge on how to post and create content for TikTok, LinkedIn Instagram, Twitter and Facebook + be willing to learn Lemon8 (a new social media platform)

The successful applicant will be responsible for making sure that branding is consistent across the social media channels and to ensure the brand of Girls Talk and The Hill app is recognisable, up to date and exciting to members.

Reporting: To report to CEO and Founder

Hours: Part time (20 hours a month) Monday to Friday

Location: Home based/remote

Salary and duration: To be negotiated with internship lasting for 3 months initially from July- September 2023

Responsibilities:

Managing the day-to-day handling of all social media/community channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook adapting content to suit different channels with different objectives.

Preparing a content calendar each month to work closely with Talent and Community Manager, Events Manager and Copywriter to feed in any promotional posts of jobs and events that we may have coming up

Engage with audiences in a meaningful and genuine way via responding to comments and utilise stories and polls

Follow, track and engage with micro-influencers who share similar interests and values

Creating captivating/tailored content for Girls Talk and The Hill app social media platforms which may include posts and multimedia content and researching news articles to share on Linkedin and Twitter related to gender equality and women in the workplace and business

Setting appropriate metrics to measure effectiveness and cut-through of content – not just about how many followers we have gained in a period

Transcribing and editing video or interview content to turn into blogs or YouTube

Research Female influencers in the corporate and entrepreneurial space to connect for interviews with the Founder on twitter spaces, LinkedIn live and Instagram live to drive engagement

Support the Programme Managers with vacancies, events and opportunities from website to publish on the social media channels

Staying up to date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies and reporting back on a monthly basis to the Founder

Support all GTC virtual and in person events with posting updates on social media

Learning Lemon8 social media platform to enhance The Hill app presence and launch

Person Specification

-Excellent social media management and editing on canva and video editing apps

-Sound knowledge of social media trends and creativity to implement this for Girls Talk and The
Hill app

-Interest in trending news relating to female empowerment, female celebrities and influencers and workplace trends/careers

-Excellent written communication
-Advocate of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for women and race
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
-Dynamic, and ability to work on own initiative
-Good attention to detail and an understanding of the challenges faced by a small business
-Understanding of Business branding and how to create knowledge based social media content
-Good initiative to research with direction and produce results • Good customer service and ability to build relationships effectively online
