Beat the January blues with these beauty products
January always feels like the longest month. The weather is bleak, it’s hard to capture those few hours of day light and we are constantly reaching for another jumper. But don’t let January get you down this year. Here are a few purchases to help you beat that January blues.
Kiko Nail Art Glitter Tape – £2.90
Just because the party season is over doesn’t mean the glitter has to stop. Kiko have created these perfect easy peel glitter strips to help us get creative with our nails for the New Year. Plus you don’t need endless cotton pads to remove the glitter at the end of the week!
Kate Spade ‘ Start Something New Candle’ – £34.00
If the title of the candle doesn’t give it away, I don’t know what does. This lemon verbena scented candle is just what you need for these dark January nights. Although slightly pricey, especially when payday is still so far away, it burns up to 60 hours giving you endless hours of relaxation.
Lipstick Queen Belle Epoque Lipstick, Wine – £18
“For me, nothing is as glamorous or as empowering as lipstick” – Poppy King AKA the Lipstick Queen. I couldn’t have said it better myself. Belle Epoque is a range of three hydrating, tinted lip balms. This non-sticky, nourishing balm moisturises your lips whilst leaving a hint of colour. ‘Sensual Wine’ is my favourite shade, perfect for a day to night look.
Bobbi Brown Radiance Boost Mask – £33
Bobbi Brown has launched 3 new face masks this January. Each address different skin concerns and come in the prettiest packaging. My favourite is the Radiance Boost mask; skin is left feeling instantly refreshed and leaves a lasting glow. This weekly scrub uses walnut grain beads to remove dead skin cells, kaolin clay to prevent oil building up and orange oil to leave skin feeling energised.
Loreal Volumetry SOS Volume Spray – £4.50
This is magic in a can. Perfect for the handbag, this spray is exactly what you need to keep your hair volumised all day long. One quick spray to the roots and hair instantly gets it’s bounce back – even after the heaviest of gales. Normally at a retail price of around the £12 mark, we have found it at the bargain price of £4.50 on Amazon.
