Five ways to get involved in London Fashion Week AW16
London Fashion Week AW16 has officially started. If your invite to the front row is lost in the post, here are five other ways to get involved.
1. Get on Instagram, obviously
Over 100,000 images were tagged #LFW on Instagram during fashion week last September, so there should be more than enough runway and street style shots to gaze longingly at this time, too.
2. Watch on big screens or online
This year coverage from the catwalks will be shown on outdoor screens around the country for the first time. The BFC will also be live streaming at londonfashionweek.com/live.
3. Hear from the designers at the LFW Talks Series
Some of fashion’s biggest names will be giving exclusive talks throughout LFW. There are a limited number of free public tickets on Biletto or, if you miss those, the talks will be available at i-d.vice.com.
4. Visit the Fashion Utopias exhibition
Explore the work of emerging international designers at the Fashion Utopias: International Fashion Showcase 2016 at Somerset House. There are 15 galleries of work showing the designers’ visions of the future.
5. Eat cake
Visit The May Fair hotel to try the official London Fashion Week Afternoon Tea, or head to The Berkeley for their fashion-inspired Prêt-à-Portea. Because if there’s anything that will help you forget you’re not at the shows, it’s a plate full of cake.
