Top 5 Lipsticks for this Valentines.

Girls it’s that time of year again, when you check your calendar and see 14th February is fast approaching. So whether you have a hot date, or a night out with the girls – I have done the hard work for you. Here are the top 5 lip products that you should be carrying in your bags!
No 5. Maybelline / Baby Lips Lip Balm – RRP £2.99
I decided to put the Maybelline Baby Lips at number 5, as this is a high street classic. It’s a cheap and cheerful tinted lip balm, that smells amazing, whilst hydrating those luscious lips. I would recommend the baby pink shade called ‘Pink Punch’, as you can apply throughout the day and without the use of a mirror. It’s also something a little different to a classic red lip!

    No 4. 100% Pure/ Fruit Pigmented Lip Glaze – RRP £16.50
At number four I have chosen a silky lipstick that I discovered through BirchBox. The 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Lip Glaze is a natural product that is full of colour- rich fruits. This lipstick is easy to apply, although a mirror is needed due to the deep pigmenation of the colour. I have the shade ‘Boysenberry’ and it smells so good! It smells of fresh and organic berries that have been squashed into a beautiful designed tube.

No 3. KIKO / SMART Lip Pencil – RRP £1.20
You probably would never think of using a lip pencil on its own, but if your lips are in good condition then why not? The KIKO SMART lip pencil in the shade ‘706 Classic Red’ is perfect for this Valentines Day! This is a super reliable lip pencil that will last on your lips for hours upon hours. This makes wearing a classic matte red lip so easy – just line your lips and then fill in the rest with the pencil. At £1.20 – you can’t get any better then that!

No 2 . Rimmel / Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss – RRP £5.49
I love this lipstick in the shade ‘107’. Its a little vampy and not your classic red lip but, it glides onto the lips so effortlessly. I have had it in my makeup collection for years and it is loved by so many makeup bloggers around the world. The packaging is also very classic and fits perfectly in any small hand bag. This lipstick can be applied straight from the bullet or for extra wear – I like to apply a little to a lip brush and line my lips first, before filing in the rest.

No 1.  Bourjois / Rough Edition Velvet Lipstick – RRP £8.99
I Swear by this lipstick! I can confidently say this has to be my all time favourite high street product as this doesn’t move from my lips. The consistency of this lipstick is in the form of a liquid lipstick and can be a little scary at first. Although after a little practise you will master how to apply the colour lightly in one, or two layers for a bold matte red lip, – that will seriously last you all night, through drinks and dinner!
Words can’t describe my love for this product and I couldn’t decide what shade would be best for this valentines. So if you really want a classic and classy red lip ,then I would advise going for the shade ’03 Hot Pepper’.  But if you’re looking for something a little darker with more red wine under tones – then buy the shade 15 Red-volution.
This is a investment piece that will last for ever in your makeup bag and for only £8.99, I think it is worth every single penny!
