What’s so super about Super-Cacao?

What is Aduna Super-Cacao?

Aduna Super-Cacao is a 100% natural high-flavanol cacao powder. It’s the first cacao powder with an EFSA approved health claim.

How is it different from regular cacao?

The high-flavanol powder in Aduna Super-Cacao is made from specially selected cacao beans that have been chosen because they have the highest naturally-occurring flavanol content. These beans are then roasted very gently using an innovative processing technique, which ensures the powder retains at least 8 times more flavanols than regular cacao.

We blend the high-flavanol powder with high-quality cacao sourced from a small producer in Ghana. In this way, we ensure every purchase contributes to creating sustainable livelihoods for small-scale farmers.

Why is it so good for us?

Cacao flavanols help maintain the elasticity of blood vessels, supporting normal blood flow and contributing to: cardiovascular health, elasticity of arteries and healthy blood circulation. Consuming 200mg of cacao flavanols for 7 days improves Flow Mediated Dilation (FMD) by 1-2% with improvements taking effect in just 2 hours. FMD is the dilation that occurs in blood vessels when blood flow increases.

In addition to its heart health benefits, Aduna Super-Cacao is bursting with skin-friendly antioxidants: it has 2.5x the antioxidant content of regular cocoa powder, 6x the antioxidants of goji berries and 100x the antioxidants of blueberries. What should we make using it?

Aduna Super-Cacao powder has a rich, chocolatey taste.
